The effect of the correction for the variation in kidney weight will be a faster increase of the concentration in the age groups 0 to 12 years. Between 13 and 16 years there will be a decrease in the concentration. After that age the two curves are similar. This generally agrees with empirical data up to age 18 (Henke, Sachs, and Bonn, 1970) although the age trend after age 10 in their data will require further empirical information because of the large individual variations.
