ABSTRACT
The voice mail device can be programmed to deliver an entire series of messages or to ask questions and accept a caller's response to all of them. Voice mail is a much more complete and flexible system than is a standard answering machine. Voice mail applications fall into one of four categories: classic voice mail delivery system, informational voice system, inbound telemarketing, and outbound telemarketing. Natural Microsystem's "Voice Information System" (VIS) software turns the Watson Voice Mail system into an intelligent, caller-controlled voice information system. With a bare bones Watson system, people have a sophisticated, highly intelligent answering machine. With the VIS option people have an interactive voice system, capable of asking questions and delivering answers based on the responses of the caller. Automated Human Voice Mail is an innovative combination of human contact and digital technology, which allows for the human touch to be added to the efficiency of electronic voice technology.
