ABSTRACT
This chapter considers flowering in the diverse group of grasses and legumes commonly called tropical pasture plants. Use of sown tropical pastures, our primary concern, extends from the lowland subtropics to the equator. 66,103–116,222 In the text will be found many references to flowering responses at particular latitudes and times of year. Figure 1 is included to enable readers to relate these to approximate daylengths or to their own conditions.
