ABSTRACT
In earlier chapters we looked at porting applications from one environment to another, developing applications that could run in multiple environments, connecting clients to heterogeneous servers for file and print access, etc. Another function that has become almost as commonplace as the telephone is the e-mail function. E-mail is used for both intra-organization communications and for communications with others who are not part of the organization.
