ABSTRACT
Considerable interest has been generated in the possible use of SOD as a therapeutic agent. This interest originated in the studies of the copper-containing protein, orgotein, later shown to be SOD. Therapeutic effects of SOD have been claimed in animals as well as in human diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and radiation cystitis. 1
