ABSTRACT

Reader has the basic understanding necessary to be an effective environmental negotiator. Reader needs some tried-and-true tactical approaches that they can use to accomplish their goals. Reader understands the five steps in the environmental negotiating process, and they have the clear strategic sense to accomplish those five steps in an orderly fashion. Learn each one of them, for reader will certainly experience all of them during their work as an environmental negotiator. There are, of course, more than nine styles of environmental negotiation. The list of styles that reader can successfully utilize is endless. These are the nine common styles of environmental negotiation. The nine common styles of environmental negotiation are as follows: the blacksmith approach, the surgical strike, the "know-it-all expert" approach, the warm, friendly approach, the "bore-them-to-death approach, the arrogant, obnoxious SOB technique, the "come-let-us-reason-together" preacher, the kamikaze pilot and the "not-negotiating-at-all" negotiation.
