ABSTRACT
A dig was performed on the solid waste disposed at Mallard North Landfill in Chicago, Illinois in June 1988. This was performed in a closed section of the landfill. The total project was in association with the University of Arizona’s Anthropology Department. The purpose of our involvement in this project was to evaluate the waste materials from the landfill for the physical, chemical and microbiological parameters of the waste.
