ABSTRACT
The first chapter of The Nature of Contemporary Organization Development introduces a puzzle that the author uncovered when she first started to explore what was written about the nature of OD. This puzzle led to her desire to seek out evidence to further investigate the nature of contemporary OD. The background and context of the work are set out in this chapter of the text, as are the research aims, research questions and the methods adopted in gathering data.
