ABSTRACT
Este capítulo aborda el estudio de la descortesía lingüística en las redes sociales. El análisis de la descortesía lingüística constituye un campo de estudio propio relativamente reciente. Para familiarizar al lector con el mismo, el capítulo presenta una definición de descortesía, describe su evolución desde dos perspectivas destacadas —segundo orden y primer orden (Eelen, 2001)— y relaciona esta información teórica con las manifestaciones de este fenómeno tan habitual en el contexto de las redes sociales. Asimismo, el capítulo analiza y discute cómo se desarrollan las secuencias descorteses en las interacciones digitales polilógicas, o de múltiples participantes.
Abstract in English
The present chapter tackles the examination of linguistic impoliteness on social networks. The analysis of linguistic impoliteness is a relatively new field. To provide some context, the chapter presents a definition of impoliteness, describes how two different perspectives attempt to understand it —first and second order (Eelen, 2001)—, and relates this theoretical overview to the manifestations of impoliteness phenomena on social networks. Furthermore, this chapter analyses and discusses how networked, impolite sequences in massive online polylogues, i.e. multiparty interactions, unfold.
