ABSTRACT

The dissertation includes more than research content. It needs a structure and formatting requirements. It also includes preface pages and appendixes, tables and figures, and a table of contents and reference lists that need to be formatted according to a particular citation style. Chapter 19 summarizes the components contained in a typical five-chapter dissertation, using the American Psychological Association (APA) style and formatting guidelines. This chapter is useful for dissertators, since it provides guidelines for formatting a dissertation that are easy to follow.
