ABSTRACT

The exact relationship between Socrates and Plato is a mystery, and will always remain such. How much of what Plato writes Socrates actually spoke must be forever unknown. The dialogues, themselves, however, do remain, and for this we are grateful. In this brief chapter on the role of happiness in Plato and Aristotle, we will always refer to the author of the dialogues as being the holder of the views in them.
