ABSTRACT

Chapter 9 brings the book to a conclusion. It is suggested that flourishing, or positive living is more of an attitude to life or a way of life than it is an end result. The intention should be to grow as a person, to bring out the best in yourself and others, to learn from what you do and experience. That is not the same as striving or expecting to always be in the most chipper of moods. Positive living is an ongoing process. Unexpected things can happen; life may challenge you, sadden you, and force you to choose. To keep the process going we need to overcome fear and we need love as an engine.
