ABSTRACT

A conversation with Dr. Sarit Lev-Bendov, Inbar Barel, and Gal Hakim of Oranim Academic College in Kiryat Tiv’on, Israel. Dr. Lev-Bendov is a psychologist, an animal-assisted psychotherapist, and the former director of the animal-assisted therapy training program at Oranim Academic College. Inbar Barel and Gal Hakim are the current codirectors of the animal-assisted therapy training program at Oranim Academic College. Inbar Barel is a psychologist who practices couples and family therapy and specializes in animal-assisted therapy. Gal Hakim is a psychologist who also specializes in animal-assisted therapy. Inbar Barel and Gal Hakim both teach, supervise, and perform research in animal-assisted psychotherapy. They each involve in their practice dogs and a variety of other animals.
