ABSTRACT
We discuss wheat pests within the context of a ‘bigger’ question. Is it possible to manage populations of ‘bad’ organisms without causing harm to humans and the ‘good’ organisms
that we wish to protect? This ‘big’ question is relevant for the management of all ‘bad’ organisms, including microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, oomycetes and protozoa.
