ABSTRACT

Worldwide, soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] is estimated to be grown on 6% of cultivated land (Hartman et al. 2011). Argentina, Brazil and the United States account for over 80% of the total soybean production (Hartman et al. 2015). In the United States, over 80% of production comes from the North Central Region with the states of Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota producing over 33% of the total production (Hartman et al. 2015).
