ABSTRACT

This chapter utilizes education experts maximize each of their endeavors by promoting and spreading it further. This is not about self-promotion or hubris; this is about ensuring their wisdom reaches as many people — and thus helps as many students — as possible. Since publications have slashed staffing in order to survive, journalists are more under pressure than ever and thus have less time than ever. Women often avoid touting their accomplishments due to society’s discouragement of this trait in women; for example, a woman can lower her chances of getting hired if she explains her qualifications or accomplishments in a job interview. Promoting colleagues’ efforts can be equally powerful in the education field. Press releases are commonly issued for completed research studies and planned events, but other occasions qualify if they would be of high interest to those reading and visiting news outlets.
