ABSTRACT
The author identifies six key factors that challenge middle years’ reform in the Australian context and discusses the implications of these challenges. The author then turns to research on capacity building for sustainable change and considers the opportunities research on capacity building presents for informing and shaping the future direction of middle years’ reform in Australia. The chapter concludes with a list of recommendations for future research.
