ABSTRACT

This chapter will deal with my experiences with John Rosen and what I learned from working for him. I want to preface this talk by saying I have tried to be as objective as possible. Especially in terms of psychoanalytic theory, I have always tried to separate the wheat from the chaff. For example, the fact that Wilhelm Reich became psychotic in his later life does not invalidate his enormous earlier contribution. By the same token, Rosen’s legal problems should not prevent us from utilizing the very valuable lessons he has taught us.
