ABSTRACT

Numerical methods are the prime focus of discussion by researchers while solving differential equations using these methods are easy to implement to solve various forms of differential equations in a programmable approach. This chapter deals with the development of the differential quadrature method to solve partial differential equations. This method is well established in the field of numerical analysis to solve linear and nonlinear equations using a suitable basis function. In this chapter detail of the DQM has been discussed with discussion on the use of method in solving GEW equation using B-spline basis function in its standard and trigonometric form.
