ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book introduces the topic of strategic thinking in a corporate environment. It discusses the issue of credibility that most security managers face when it comes to the decision-making level. The book discussed the expectations of the executive management toward the security professionals working for them—what they should be, what they often are in reality. It suggests that new security executives begin their assignment by tackling a new security master plan for the organization they are tasked with protecting. The book deals with metrics and the measurements of security. It discusses the very important issue of the maintenance of the security program and one of its main components, security awareness. The book discusses how security executives must work on how to bring this change, by understanding who their allies are and who will probably fight a rearguard battle.
