ABSTRACT

In the introduction, the author offers an overview of the human experience of shame, exploring both a psychological and a biblical viewpoint on the topic. In addition, the author presents the workbook’s theoretical model as a guide for understanding the problem and solution, the four-step approach employed throughout the workbook, the main goals and techniques in the workbook, the intended audience for the workbook, and the overarching strategy for organizing the material in the workbook. In doing so, the author offers the building blocks of the workbook, moving into the first chapter with a clear vision of what is in store for Christians as they steadily walk with God on the road to positive change.
