ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Improper deployment of Base Stations (BSs) and Relay Stations (RSs) at inappropriate locations can result in a decrease in power efficiency and throughput and an increase in deployment cost, transmission delay, transmission loss and power consumption. Hence, in order to exploit the advantages of BSs and RSs completely, an effective selection and deployment scheme for BS and RS, which attains the target Coverage Ratio (CR) and throughput, at an affordable deployment budget is required for next generation wireless communication. The superiority in performance of the proposed method over conventional clustering methods is illustrated through MATLAB simulations.
