ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: One of the most prominent techniques available for repair and strengthening of concrete structures is the use of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) system. This study identifies the best method of installing CFRP bars in reinforced concrete beams when same effective area of CFRP is being used at critical section of beam. The results of experimental investigations on RC beams strengthened in flexure using various strengthening methods such as Near Surface Mounted (NSM) and Externally Bonded Reinforcement (EBR) methods are discussed.
