ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the author deals with a description of the factors that sustained his scholarly inquiry. He examines some early-life personal factors that may have influenced his scholarly concerns. The author presents his substantive findings in a conference chaired by Douglas McGregor. Looking backward, he think one of the fascinating features about problems that are compulsively repetitive and protected by the status quo is how they are often related to designed disempowerment. More fascinating is that the disempowerment is taken for granted. Looking backward, the persistence was probably due to struggling not to be permanently cut off and, at the same time, to plead his case. The author examines a description of the factors that sustained his scholarly inquiry. The scholars recommended more descriptive research before his work was used in the real world. The scholarly activities produce conditions where the author seen as helpful and caring.
