ABSTRACT

The future of urban connections is a topic that continues to generate a variety of opinions based on a range of data and subsequent theories and models. The previous six chapters presented the context, experience, and responses to existing urban connections, with an emphasis on connection context influences, including form, scale, edges, and places. In the process, other key elements including inductive and deductive factors, livability and walkability appeared in the text, as consequences for aesthetic experience and the subsequent identity of urban connections. The concluding chapter examines the future of connections, based on current community visions, preferences, and strategies, along with the challenges cities currently face with increasing urban populations and climate change.
