ABSTRACT

Literature and practice have often referred to team building, team facilitation, team away-days or process consulting. Team building implies a focus only on the beginning life of a team, whereas most senior teams are constantly changing both membership and focus. Both traditional forms of team leadership and traditional approaches to team development are inadequate to meet the current and future leadership challenges in organizations ranging in size and relevance from governments, global corporates, business start-ups to organizations in the not-for-profit sector. Develop a new marriage of the best of organizational and team development with the best of coaching practice and methods. Systemic Team Coaching involves coaching the team together on the internal disciplines and coaching the team live in their engagement with their critical stakeholders. The field of Systemic Team Coaching has drawn upon many of the coaching methods and processes.
