ABSTRACT

This chapter presents details about call sheet which is the equivalent of a rehearsal schedule for the theater, plus a layout of the entire day on the set to come. It provides tips for actors for the first day on a set. A line up is very similar to setting blocking in a theatrical production. During line up each actor is walked through all the positions of their blocking in the scene and at each move a production assistant will mark an X on the floor, in fluorescent tape. A body mic is a tiny microphone on the end of a long wire and attached to a battery pack, about the size of a cell phone. The battery is usually placed in the small of an actor’s back and strapped in with an elastic band or tape. Coverage means footage of film of every actor from every possible angle in order to have more options during the editing process.
