ABSTRACT

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a transformational process that can include every part of higher education. Bringing UDL to colleges and universities can happen in a global, system wide approach, or in small spaces, like just one professor in one course. This chapter highlights transformational changes that can occur in professors supported by professional development offerings at a University. While the goal of the University highlighted here was to help support professors in teaching a group of students who had unique and different skills they brought to their learning. While UDL was not the primary framework, it supported other broad initiatives at the University and provided the transformation needed for professors to grow and change.
