This, that, here, and there inform Unrehearsed performers whether they are near to or far from objects or characters, thereby creating blocking. When an actor is speaking, other actors bear responsibility for supporting the speaker in all ways, including identifying themselves when their characters’ names are spoken. Whenever it makes sense to do so, actors should speak to or otherwise involve the audience.
