Overlapping Speech

There are times when cues are repeated in Shakespeare’s lines, and Unrehearsed actors accept those as an indication that dialogue is intended to overlap. Additional opportunities for simultaneous speech seem to be indicated by partial lines of iambic pentameter in high stakes scenes. The production coordinator is responsible for identifying overlapping dialogue, and for warning Unrehearsed actors about it during text sessions.
