ABSTRACT

The final chapter in this book aims to highlight the connections between research, professional practice and children’s perspectives. It argues for researchers with young children to continue to honour the importance of children’s voices while, at the same time, be cognisant of the challenges and potential dangers, both to the children involved and the research, inherent in the elicitation of these voices. The chapter stresses key constructs which have arisen from the research reported in the previous chapters and offers an innovative and promising praxeological perspective on future research and praxis conversations around strategies for supporting children’s expressions of their perspectives and the roles of adults in facilitating these in practice.
