ABSTRACT

The state involvement is in itself a dominant and important background factor in the industry and constitutes a solid structure, strongly tied to Egyptian society and through the social and cultural rules also to the Islamic community. Within the structure, industrial policy and strategy decisions and issues will constitute a background for El NASR Automotive Manufacturing Company. The industrial situation in Egypt, dominated by the public sector that accounts for about several-quarters of industrial output and even more in annual industrial investment, is tightly tied to the general economic conditions of the country, which can be characterized as a deficit economy, regardless of which measures are used. Industrial policy and strategies, on the national level, are visible in the individual public enterprises, shaped to be part of the process of political change and development. The static bureaucratic organization in government bodies influences work within and between the public enterprises.
