ABSTRACT

This account of Sister Ursula is from the Lierre annals, and it can be dated most probably to between late March and the beginning of May 1700. 1 It is said to be in the hand of Margaret Teresa of the Immaculate Conception (Margaret Fettyplace: 1657/9–1743/5), a widowed niece of the Mostyn sisters who became Prioress after Sister Ursula’s death, from 1700 to 1715 (and again during later periods). 2
