ABSTRACT

The dreame of Symon the shoemaker, and how he bought all the goods in the great Argosie of Candy, through his wives pollicie. Now wife one wil tel thee what a dreame one had the other night. There was a very comely young man dwelling in Westminster, who having served vij years as an apprentice with his Maister: and being at length come out of his time, undertooke on a marvellous small stock, to try what he could do in the worlde. And being fully resolved hereon, departing away honestly from his maister, he set up shop in Kings street in Westminster. But by that time that he had bought him tooles, and made up his windowes, his stock was all gone, and having then but one groat left, and not an inch of Leather, he was quite out of conceit with himselfe, wishing he had not so hastily left his master, or that his money had bin more.
