ABSTRACT
In conclusion, the results of this study suggest the possibility of experimentally relating the activity of single neurons in the visual system to the internal perceptual state of the subjects. Such experiments may lead to a better understanding of how the processes that result in an internal representation of the visual world ate instantiated in the structure and function of the visual pathways.
