ABSTRACT

Development of the print or the enlargement involves many more effects than the mere degree of reduction of silver. There are various developing agents, and many of these in various concentrations yield different colors of image on a given paper. Hence the proper selection and application of a print developer are of greatest importance. Time of development, temperature, and the degree of exhaustion of the developer solution have profound effects on the quality of the print.
