ABSTRACT

Activity is an action performed by the person to execute his/her essential personal demands of life. Thus, it denotes execution of a task with a personal perspective. Activity is a multidimensional construct comprising of six domains of activity namely learning-applying knowledge-acquiring skills, task management, communication, mobility, self-care, and household activities. Participation is a task to partake in the society by the person in his/her life circumstances, and thus it denotes execution of a task with a social perspective. It comprises of four domains namely interpersonal skills, participation in educational- vocational pursuits, economic transaction and management, and participation in community, social and civic life. “Integrated Evaluation of Disability” developed “Activity-Participation skill assessment scale” based on the domains vide supra.
