ABSTRACT

You’ve returned the first round of graded assignments to a class of future teachers. You’ve already read and returned many pieces of their work, giving extensive, detailed, supportive, encouraging feedback. You’ve conferenced to demonstrate the importance of well-conveyed, ongoing feedback. And you’ve spent considerable time underscoring how Teacher Candidates should be assessing for growth, and that you will too. But then, after all the feedback and all the conferencing, and with midterm approaching, can they please just have a grade to let them know how they’re doing?
