Demographics and the Russian Orthodox Church in London

Russian Orthodoxy has markedly expanded in London in recent decades. But because Orthodox identity overlaps with ethnic identity, many who consider themselves Russian Orthodox do not attend church more than spasmodically, meaning Sunday attendance has grown more slowly. The number of baptisms (about 500 a year since 2011) suggests considerable vitality.
