ABSTRACT
This chapter provides key theoretical, political and policy conclusions: the importance of developing characters as opposed to rules; the need for developing spaces in which people of all religions and none can safely an inclusively explore the transcendent ideas that motivate them and the myths through which those ideas are articulated; the role of the state as a curator of these spaces, in particular curating new “solidarity centres”; a new understanding of economy as measured in terms of its contribution to solidarity.
