ABSTRACT
Swedish retains a distinction no longer found in English, using different forms of certain adverbs with verbs to indicate location at a place and motion to and from a place, respectively. English used to have this distinction in, for example, ‘here/hither/hence’, but as the examples below show, ‘here’ is now widely used in all instances:
Han bor här. He lives here. Location
