ABSTRACT

The suspension system is one of the most important systems of an automobile. The suspension system of an automobile helps to support the car body, engine, and passengers, and at the same time absorbs shocks received from the ground while the vehicle moves on rough roads. There are three types of suspension systems which are being used in the automobiles such as conventional suspension system, semi-independent, and fully independent suspension system. In this paper, it is attempted to study the behavior of the systems and compare the frequency responses and dynamic responses due to pulse inputs given by the roughness of the road.
