ABSTRACT

The objective of the present work is to investigate the visualization of thermal transport in two-dimensional complex geometries with two discrete heat sources; one at the bottom wall and another at the left wall. A code in has been developed to read the mesh from the meshing software and then linked to the in-house developed solver. The governing equations are discretized for the considered non-orthogonal domains by collocated grid-based finite volume method. The present numerical methodology is validated and compared with the commercial software ANSYS Fluent. The results are given in terms of isotherms and heatlines. The contour plots thus obtained are used for the analysis of energy transport in considered geometries.
