ABSTRACT

Jane Shattuck-Takamoto-Baer began her career in the mid-1950s as an animator on Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty. Having worked with many of the Nine Old Men of animation, Jane treasured her work with Marc Davis on Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, and Milt Kahl on Medusa for The Rescuers. Later, Jane started an animation studio, Baer Animation, with her then husband Dale Baer, and kept the studio going long after they divorced. In addition to many commercials, feature films, and special projects, Jane supervised the Toontown sequences and Benny the Cab for the legendary film Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
