ABSTRACT

The case of a risk-taking adolescent who has abused a small child is explored, the whole in the context of developmental progress and insult, early trauma, violence and repetition-compulsion in repeating the physiological responses of the terrified child and trying to gain mastery in the repetition. Anna Freud and Winnicott offer most in understanding, as does Glasser.
