ABSTRACT
The Winnicottian concept of environment, its resilience and robustness, is important in this case description where residential placement was finally found and a therapeutic residential setting seen as rightly more important than individual therapy. Robertson was another latency boy who had been traumatised within his family and acted out this trauma with his body, abusing his sister. The need to be active, the use of the body as regulator of affect, are explored.
