ABSTRACT

The Arctic represents a very complex challenge for large scale renewable energy generation companies to develop their business strategy. The environmental uncertainties motivate them to develop risk management and safety managerial activities on the Arctic settings. Understanding about the complex nature of risk is a relevant part to be considered but the human capability to control risk and change is a central aspect of risk and uncertainty studies. Also, the change from fossil fuels to renewable energy has implications on Human Capital and how this is managed.
