ABSTRACT
This chapter provides to bring to life how our actions ladder up to Linked Prosperity. In addition to these corporate policies and practices, we see our franchised scoop shop model as allowing Ben & Jerry’s to deliver on Linked Prosperity at a more local level: locally-committed owner-operators are empowered to engage with their communities and foster mutually beneficial relationships. Each year, Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops help to raise money for local charities but also actively engage in providing direct benefits to the community through a variety of activities. Greyston Bakery committed to baking up a couple of tons of brownie wafers for Ben & Jerry’s new ice cream sandwich. Ben & Jerry’s are working with Race Forward, a leading organization equipped to provide technical assistance and capacity support, to continue to deeply integrate social equity into the company culture.
