ABSTRACT

In order for a person to be able to Assure Quality at the Source, they must have excellent processes. Great processes are not created perfect the first time; rather, little by little and more able to Assure Quality at the Source the first time. The number of problems that must be solved to assure quality at the source of every person's work is so large that typically it requires the expertise and commitment of every single person in the organization. The leaders of this Japanese company clearly demonstrated a culture of Respect for Every Individual, Leading with Humility, Seek Perfection, Assure Quality at the Source and Focus on Process. The value of solving problems once and for all is universal. It applies in banks, hospitals, retail stores, construction sites, and offices and flows from the principle of Assuring Quality at the Source.
