ABSTRACT

A system called SMARTD ID CARD employees location and working time registration systems. Among the others, the data obtained in this system allow one to monitor whether the employees use constantly personal protective equipment. The research aimed at verification of the effectiveness in detection whether a worker used personal protection means. To this end, a robot simulated some human movements. Comparison between Pearson, Kendall’s Tau, Spearman’s and BiSerial correlation detection algorithms has been performed. The results obtained proved that the system was highly effective in detecting the use of personal protective equipment. The system was more effective at detecting that the personal protective equipment had not been used, what was important from the safety point of view. Additionally, the detection time of the lack of personal protection was relatively short and taking about 2 minutes. Basing on the results obtained the Authors recommend the use of SPEARMAN or BISERIAL algorithm.
